Q: When does Spring Season run?

A: Generally spring season begins mid March and runs until late April to early May. The dates or exact weeks depend on when other city athletics and events occur since we operate in shared spaces and with schools.

Q: When does Fall Season run?

A: Fall sesason typically begins in late August and always finishes the 1st weekend in November. 

Q: Are there tryouts to participate in any season?

A: No, there are never any tryouts as everyone has the opportunity to play. Rather what we do is hold evaluations to grade the level of experience the player has in order to fairly balance teams.

Q: Do you draft teams?

A: Yes but only in the fall competitive seasons for 13U and 18U. 10U is not drafted. Spring season does not consist of a draft for any age bracket.

Q: Can a player under the age of 8 years old play?

A: No. Our age requirements are 8 years of age to 18 years of age for youth volleyball. Once a player reaches 19, they must transition over to the adult league.

Q: Can a player play up to a higher age bracket?

A: No. In an effort to keep the age brackets balanced we will maintain our age restrictions per bracket 10U (8-10yrs), 13U (11-13yrs), 18U (14-18yrs), and Adult (19 years and up).

Q: Will the league look into expanding age brackets to younger athletes or create smaller brackets in the future?

A: Yes. We will always look to grow or expand with the times.

Q: Do you offer discounts for siblings?

A: Yes we do offer a sibling discount.

Q: Can anyone volunteer to coach?

A: Yes and no. Yes in that anyone such a parent, family member, friend or and individual who just loves to teach or coach volleyball may coach however we do have an age requirement. Do to the interactions with children, all coach volunteers must be 18 years of age or older. If you are under the age of 18 and are still looking for ways to volunteer with the league, please contact a board member for other opportunities. 

Q: If I am a high school student with a volleyball program looking to fulfill volunteer hours with your league, can I?

A: Yes, we are always willing to assist in anyway. All we ask is that you register with the league as a volunteer and have the appropriate paperwork filled out. Anyone interacting with minor on the court must be documented and parents aware.
